The heart of our Community, providing a space for local sports teams and community alike.

Our Coorong Community Sports Club redevelopment project aims to:

  • Provide facilities that meet current sporting standards and support membership growth.

  • Invest in a community asset to ensure it remains contemporary

  • Attract and encourage greater use of facilities and grounds by sporting and community groups.

  • Improve accessibility for all members of the community.

  • Reduce the amount of sporting infrastructure needing to be managed by volunteers, designating a single site for all member clubs.

About the Meningie Community Sports Ground Inc (MCSG)

The MCSC Inc was formed in 2015 to bring together the sporting clubs operating from within the Meningie Town Oval precinct.

In 2025, the following clubs are members of the MCSG:

  • Lake Albert Golf Club

  • Meningie Football & Netball Club (part of Coorong Cats)

  • Meningie Cricket Club

  • Meningie Tennis Club

  • Meningie Riding Club

Business Case

A comprehensive Business Case has been developed to support the proposed Coorong Community Sports Club, outlining the projects strategic rationale, financial visibility and anticipated community benefits. This document draws on stakeholder input, regional data and projected usage to ensure the facility meets long term needs and delivers sustainable outcomes.

Concept Drawings

Concept drawings for the Coorong Community Sports Club have been developed to communicate the vision and layout of the proposed new facility. These preliminary designs incorporate community feedback and aim to reflect the unique character of the Coorong region whilst supporting a wide range of sporting and social activities.
